Right-sided axillary mini-incision surgery for congenital heart disease, covering various types of congenital heart defects (with or without patent ductus arteriosus, persistent left superior vena cava, etc.).

Skilled in the treatment of cyanotic congenital heart disease, especially staged surgery for single ventricle. His youngest surgical patient was only 1 day old, and his smallest patient weighed only 750 grams. His work has been featured by Beijing TV’s Life Line program and various media outlets.

Biography:
Dr. Yang received his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, where he studied under Professor Yinglong Liu, a renowned pediatric cardiac surgeon and Director of the Pediatric Heart Center at Fuwai Hospital, and mastered his techniques. He later completed postdoctoral research under Professor Zhichun Feng, a renowned neonatologist and President of Bayi Children’s Hospital, specializing in neonatology. He has been engaged in cardiac surgery for over 30 years. He previously served as an attending surgeon at the Pediatric Heart Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University, for 10 years, performing nearly 400 surgeries annually.

Honours & Awards

    • Authored over 20 papers, including three indexed in SCI, and served as the editor-in-chief of the book *Essential Reading on Congenital Heart Disease*. During doctoral studies, assisted the supervisor in completing the project “Key Technologies for Tertiary Prevention of Congenital Heart Disease in Beijing” (funded by the Capital Medical Development Fund), serving as a key implementer and the primary author of the resulting papers.
